According to Philippines News Agency, the PRO-6 issued a statement on Thursday reminding the public to continue following safety protocols, exercise sobriety, and report any suspicious activities to authorities. In a related development, the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) recovered illegal firecrackers during an inspection in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Arevalo District. The operation, conducted by Police Station 6, uncovered half a sack of assorted firecrackers on an unoccupied lot. ICPO Director Col. Kim Legada reiterated the warning against the use, sale, and manufacturing of illegal firecrackers, emphasizing that violators will face charges under existing laws.

Col. Legada stressed the dangers posed by illegal firecrackers and urged the public to celebrate responsibly. He assured that inspections, patrols, and enforcement operations will continue throughout the holiday period to prevent related injuries and incidents.
