PRA Warns Firms Against Smear Campaigns on Reclamation Projects

Manila: The Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) has issued a warning to real estate companies, advising them against engaging in smear campaigns that target government-sanctioned reclamation projects.

According to Philippines News Agency, the PRA emphasized that such negative campaigns could undermine legitimate government initiatives. The agency assured the public that any entities found responsible for these actions would be exposed and subject to prosecution.

The PRA highlighted its commitment, under the leadership of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., to advancing national interests through legal and strategic land development. It reassured stakeholders that all approved reclamation projects undergo thorough evaluations by multiple agencies. Additionally, these projects are required to remit at least 51 percent of their value or land area to the government, ensuring significant public benefits.
