PRO-9 Deploys 3.7K Personnel for Holiday Security Across Western Mindanao

Zamboanga city: Police Regional Office-9 (Zamboanga Peninsula) has deployed 3,759 personnel for intensified holiday security operations across Western Mindanao. PRO-9 director Brig. Gen. Edwin Quilates announced the deployment, which includes 3,075 police officers, 271 personnel from partner agencies, and 413 auxiliary members as part of "Ligtas Paskuhan 2025."

According to Philippines News Agency, these deployments are strategically positioned in critical areas of public convergence, vital installations, and high-traffic locations. Specific deployments include 479 personnel securing 167 churches and mosques, 381 officers managing major thoroughfares, and 233 police at 90 transport hubs and terminals. Dedicated teams also monitor commercial areas, tourist spots, and designated firecracker zones.

Brig. Gen. Quilates emphasized that through Ligtas Paskuhan 2025, PRO-9 is fully committed to ensuring the safety and security of communities across the region. He assured that the personnel are on full alert, highly visible, and ready to respond to any situation that may arise.

He also urged public vigilance and cooperation, assuring that security operations will continue throughout the holiday season, ensuring the well-being and safety of all residents and visitors in the area.
