PSA-11 Encourages Household Participation in July 2026 Surveys

Davao: As the Philippine Statistics Authority-Davao (PSA-11) starts the July 2026 labor force survey (LFS) and annual poverty indicator surveys (APIS) on July 8, the agency encourages all selected households to actively participate and provide complete, accurate, and truthful information.

According to Philippines News Agency, the LFS is a regular household survey conducted monthly and quarterly to collect demographic and socio-economic data of the population. It provides vital data on the country's current employment situation, including the number of persons employed, unemployed, or not in the labor force.

The survey generates key national and regional labor and employment indicators that serve as essential inputs for government agencies, policymakers, and stakeholders in formulating plans, programs, and policies to promote employment and economic development.

"Their cooperation is essential in producing reliable statistics that will serve as the basis for evidence-based planning, policy formulation, and the monitoring of the country's socio-economic development," PSA-11 said in a statement Tuesday.

The APIS is an annual household survey conducted during years when the Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES) is not conducted. It generates non-income-based poverty indicators used to monitor the country's poverty situation.

"The survey also provides valuable information for the formulation and evaluation of policies and programs aimed at improving the living conditions of Filipino families," PSA-11 added.

The enumeration period for the July 2026 LFS and 2026 APIS will run until July 31, 2026.
