PSA-Ilocos Establishes Special Lane for National ID Holders at Civil Registry System Outlets.

Pangasinan: The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Civil Registry System (CRS) Outlets in the Ilocos Region have introduced a Special Lane to accommodate clients holding national identification (ID) in card, paper, or digital formats from 12 noon onwards. This initiative aims to streamline services for those requesting the issuance, authentication, and certification of civil registry documents for themselves or their immediate family members, including spouses, children, and parents. According to Philippines News Agency, PSA-Ilocos chief administrative officer Camille Carla Beltran stated that clients with national IDs can now access these services as walk-in applicants at selected PSA CRS Outlets without needing to book appointments through the Civil Registration Service Appointment System. "In case the client will transact earlier than 12 noon, they are advised to book for an appointment," Beltran mentioned in an interview on Thursday. The PSA has emphasized that the Civil Registration Service Appointm ent System's strict implementation remains in force. Therefore, clients without national IDs must book an appointment and present a civil registration service appointment slip upon entering the CRS Outlet and during the requirements screening process. "Just make sure that you are the owner of the national ID to avail of the special lane," Beltran advised. She further shared that approximately 1.75 million electronic Philippine IDs (ePhilID) were issued in the region between November 14, 2022, and November 19, 2024. Additionally, as of November 20, around 4.56 million residents of the Ilocos region have registered for Step 2 of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys). Beltran also highlighted the encouragement for registering children aged one year and below with PhilSys, noting that 108,621 children below five years old in the region were registered under Step 2 as of November 19 this year.
