Cagayan valley: Minimum wage earners and domestic workers in Cagayan Valley will have an increase in their salaries starting next month. This development comes after the National Wages and Productivity Commission-Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-Region II (NWPC-RTWPB-RII) approved separate wage orders to adjust their pay.
According to Philippines News Agency, Wage Order No. RTWPB No. 2-24, approved on October 8, 2025, grants a salary increase ranging from PHP20 to PHP40 for workers in the non-agricultural and agricultural sectors, respectively. With these increases taking effect on November 5, the daily minimum wage for non-agricultural workers will rise to PHP500 from the current PHP480, while agricultural workers will see their daily wages increase from PHP460 to PHP500.
The wage adjustments cover the cities of Tuguegarao, Cauayan, Santiago, and Ilagan, as well as the provinces of Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, and Batanes. In addition to these adjustments, domestic workers in the region will receive an additional PHP500 to their monthly salary through Wage Order No. 02-DW-07, also effective from November 5, 2025. This adjustment will bring the new monthly salary for domestic helpers to PHP6,500.
The NWPC-RTWPB-RII stated that the new wage order applies to all cities and municipalities within the Cagayan Valley region, irrespective of income class.
