Russian Vlogger Vitaly Zdorovetskiy Deported from Philippines

Manila: The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has confirmed that Russian vlogger Vitaly Zdorovetskiy has been deported to Russia. Zdorovetskiy departed on an IrAero flight directly to Irkutsk on Saturday, following a deportation order issued by the BI's Board of Commissioners on December 17. The 33-year-old was declared an undesirable alien due to multiple complaints against him.

According to Philippines News Agency, the deportation order was based on incidents where Zdorovetskiy harassed and disrespected several Filipinos, disrupted public peace and safety, and committed acts considered contrary to morals, good customs, and public policy. His actions included harassing a security guard, shouting expletives at a Filipino woman wearing a face mask, stealing a heavy-duty electric fan, and crashing a tricycle into a parked jeepney.

Zdorovetskiy was first arrested in April of the previous year and admitted to the acts of harassment during inquest proceedings. Subsequently, he was detained at the BI Warden's Facility inside Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig. His application for bail was denied by the bureau.

BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado stated that Zdorovetskiy's name has been added to the agency's blacklist following his deportation. Viado emphasized the importance of respecting the country's laws, noting, "The country warmly receives guests from all nations, but respect for our laws is non-negotiable. Those who engage in harassment or disruptive acts undermine public order and will be swiftly sanctioned."
