LABUAN, Sabah's Osca Warriors rugby club secured their third consecutive title at the 22nd Labuan Rugby Carnival, after defeating KK Sharks in a thrilling final with a score of 15-3 today. The three-day tournament at Labuan Square Field from Oct 11, featured intense matches and brought together 24 teams from across the country as well neighbouring Brunei. In an impressive display of regional talent, Brunei's The Flying Kukris clinched third place after overpowering Sabah's Putatan Scorpionz with a score of 17-5. The annual carnival, widely regarded as one of the most anticipated rugby events in the region, was a collaboration between Labuan Corporation (LC), the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Labuan Sports Council, Malaysia Rugby Union, Radio Television Malaysia (RTM), and Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) Labuan. Labuan Rugby Association president Abdul Rashid Adlie expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming response from rugby enthusiasts. "Since we first organised this event in 2002, the suppo rt has been tremendous, and it continues to attract more teams and fans each year," he said to Bernama today. Source: BERNAMA News Agency
