SC Postpones Release of Shari’ah Bar Exams Results

Manila: The Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday announced a postponement in the release of the 2025 Shari'ah Special Bar Examinations (SSBE) results. The delay was attributed to the suspension of work in the Supreme Court due to inclement weather, as communicated by SC spokesperson Atty. Camille Ting.

According to Philippines News Agency, Atty. Ting conveyed the announcement in a message to reporters, noting, "Due to the suspension of work in the Supreme Court caused by inclement weather, the release of the results of the 2025 Shari'ah Special Bar Examinations scheduled for tomorrow, July 23, 2025, has been postponed." She further mentioned that a new schedule for the release of the SSBE results will be announced in due course.

This marks the second instance of postponement for the release of the SSBE results. SC Associate Justice Antonio Kho, Jr., who serves as the chairperson of the 2025 SSBE, had initially scheduled the release for Tuesday. However, the inclement weather led to the decision to postpone it to Wednesday.

Shari'ah courts, under the administrative supervision of the SC, are responsible for handling cases involving Muslim customary and personal laws, excluding criminal law. The Philippines houses eight Shari'ah District Courts, with six located in Mindanao.
