Manila: The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center has announced the addition of seven new projects to its pipeline, aimed at collaboration between the government and the private sector. According to PPP data, as of December 4, the newly included projects encompass a variety of sectors and needs. According to Philippines News Agency, among the new additions to the PPP pipeline are the unsolicited Operation and Maintenance Including Supply and Installation of Laboratory Equipment and Laboratory Information System, a Floating Solar Power Generation Facility at Pantabangan Reservoir, and Phase 2 of the Jalaur River Multi-purpose project. Further projects include the PHP29.3-billion, 3,000-tons-per-day Manila Waste-to-Energy Facility Project, a PHP9.6-billion Renewstable Green Hydrogen Power Plant in Marinduque, and the PHP2.1-billion Cavite Integrated Waste Management Services. These additions increase the total number of PPP projects in the pipeline to 172, with an overall project cost of PHP2.54 trillion. T his figure marks a slight decrease from the over PHP3 trillion worth of projects disclosed earlier in the year. The PPP Center attributes this decline to the removal of the Joint Venture Proposal for the Laguna Lake Rehabilitation and Development Project, which had an estimated cost of PHP763.54 billion. Projects such as the Butuan City Digitalized Traffic Enforcement, Tumauini River Multipurpose Project, Food and Drug License and Clearance System, and the Combined 17MW Upper Sampaloc and 8MW Lower Sampaloc Hydroelectric Power Project have also been delisted. Additionally, the Comprehensive Provincial Waste Management and Carbon Capture System Utilizing Bio-Methanation No-Burn project has been removed from the list. The PHP12.75-billion project for the upgrade, expansion, operations, and maintenance of the Laguindingan International Airport, along with the Santiago City Hemodialysis Center Project, have been taken off the pipeline database as they have been awarded and are now recorded in the PPP Center dat abase of projects under implementation.
