Manila: Shear line and the northeast monsoon, known locally as amihan, will continue to impact Northern and Central Luzon, the weather bureau announced on Thursday. The conditions are expected to result in varying weather patterns across the region.

According to Philippines News Agency, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued a 4 a.m. advisory indicating that the shear line is likely to bring cloudy skies accompanied by scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms to several areas. These include Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, and Quezon.

Meanwhile, the provinces of Batanes, Apayao, Abra, and Ilocos Norte are anticipated to experience cloudy skies with rain due to the influence of the northeast monsoon. The rest of the Ilocos Region and Cordillera Administrative Region will encounter partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, also attributed to amihan.

The forecast for Metro Manila and the remainder of the country predicts fair weather conditions with occasional isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, which are expected to arise from localized thunderstorms. PAGASA confirmed that no gale warnings have been issued for any part of the archipelago at this time.
