Manila: The shear line and the northeast monsoon, locally known as 'amihan,' are expected to bring rains across various regions of the Philippines, as announced by the national weather bureau. According to Philippines News Agency, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released a 4 a.m. advisory detailing the weather conditions. The report predicts that the shear line will result in cloudy skies, scattered rains, and isolated thunderstorms specifically over the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Marinduque, and Romblon. In addition, the northeast monsoon is anticipated to cause cloudy skies with rain in Quezon province, while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon should prepare for partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains. The remaining areas of the country are expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies accompanied by isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the influence of the easterlies. The advisory also warned that moderate to strong winds, along with moderate to rough seas, will affect Northern Luzon. Meanwhile, the eastern sections of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, and the Visayas are likely to experience moderate winds and seas. The rest of the archipelago will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate sea conditions.
