Show Cause Order Issued to Driver Involved in Daraga Road Crash

Daraga: The Land Transportation Office in Bicol (LTO-5) has issued a show-cause order to the driver of a fuel tanker involved in a road crash in Daraga, Albay, that injured three individuals early this week. LTO-5 spokesperson Jamie Roperes stated that the order is part of the investigation conducted by LTO-Bicol and partner agencies.

According to Philippines News Agency, the show-cause order requires the driver to explain his side of the incident. Following the driver's explanation, a resolution and recommendation will be made by the legal officer to the regional director. This process is crucial to determine if the driver's license will be suspended.

The LTO-Bicol has urged motorists to remain alert and responsible, emphasizing that road discipline is essential for the safety of everyone. An initial investigation by the Daraga Municipal Police Station revealed that the tanker collided with five vehicles on May 28.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office responded promptly, rescuing the drivers and passengers of the other vehicles. The injured individuals were transported to the Bicol Regional Hospital and Medical Center for treatment.
