SMC Tollways Sets Oct. 31 Deadline for Agricultural Truckers’ Toll Discount Enrollment

Manila:SMC Tollways has announced that truck operators transporting agricultural products must enroll by October 31 to qualify for a 5 percent toll discount across its expressways from November 1 to 30.

According to Philippines News Agency, the discount initiative is part of a broader government effort led by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) to mitigate the cost of agricultural product transportation amid rising fuel prices.

The 5 percent discount will be applicable on five expressways managed by SMC Tollways the Skyway System, NAIA Expressway (NAIAX), South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), STAR Tollway, and Tarlac Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX). Eligibility for the discount requires trucks to be accredited by the Department of Agriculture (DA) and enrolled in the toll discount program before the October 31 deadline.

SMC Tollways encourages truckers to take advantage of this measure, emphasizing the benefits of reduced transportation costs from farms to markets. New applicants need to submit various documents, including their vehicle’s official receipt, certificate of registration, a valid DA Accreditation Certificate, and their Autosweep RFID card details. Submissions can be made at any Autosweep Customer Service Center.

Truck operators already enrolled in the program will automatically benefit from the November discount, provided their DA accreditation is still valid. Operators with expired accreditation must re-enroll to qualify. For assistance, truck operators can contact the Autosweep RFID Customer Service hotline at (02) 5318-8655.
