MANILA Senate President Vicente Sotto III said Friday the government should also reveal the names of celebrities allegedly linked to illegal drugs.
Sotto made the statement after President Rodrigo Duterte released the list of 46 local government officials allegedly linked to the illegal drug trade ahead of the May 13 mid-term elections.
"Might as well name the celebrities patronizing these drug pushers," Sotto said.
"At least, if the info came from a pusher, it's validated," he added.
Sotto suggested that celebrities with drug links should be taken to rehabilitation centers.
"Hindi ko na sila pakikialaman pero kung ako boss nila, rehab dapat (I won't meddle but if I were their boss, they should be sent to rehab)," he said.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) earlier said it is investigating two celebrities who are suspected to have links with slain alleged party drug dealer, Steve Pasion. (PNA)
