SPD Nabs Three Foreigners in Parañaque Shooting Incident, Seizes PHP1.2-M Worth of Shabu.

Parañaque City: Three foreign nationals were arrested in a shooting incident that wounded a Chinese national in Parañaque City, the Southern Police District (SPD) said on Thursday. In a report, SPD Director Brig. Gen. Bernard Yang identified the suspects as alias Shi, 31, and alias Sui, 33, both Chinese nationals, and alias Edwin, 39, a Cameroonian. According to Philippines News Agency, the suspects were apprehended following a shooting incident at a residential complex in Barangay Don Galo on Wednesday morning. The victim, identified as alias Li, a 35-year-old Chinese national and a money changer employee residing in the complex, sustained gunshot wounds and is currently receiving medical treatment at the San Juan De Dios Hospital in Pasay City. Li was able to identify the suspects to the police, which led to a swift operation resulting in the arrest of Shi, Sui, and Edwin. During the arrest, operatives seized 200 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP1.2 million. Additionally, a 9m m Glock 19 pistol, one magazine, ten live ammunition, two empty shells, one bullet slug, three butane gas canisters, and two pointed weapons were recovered from the suspects. The recovered drug evidence was turned over to the SPD Forensic Unit for further analysis. Yang stated that the suspects are currently detained at the Parañaque Police station. They will be facing complaints for frustrated murder, and violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and RA 10591, the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
