Surigao del norte: The Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office reported that 203 individuals were apprehended for various crimes during a series of law enforcement operations across the province in November.

According to Philippines News Agency, among those arrested, 49 were identified as fugitives, including eight individuals listed as the most wanted at regional, provincial, and municipal levels in the Caraga Region.

The provincial police director, Col. Warren Dablo, highlighted that the captured individuals included the top 1 and top 5 most wanted at the regional level, as well as the top 1 at the provincial level. The remaining were top wanted persons at the municipal level in Surigao del Norte. Besides these, 41 individuals were recognized as other wanted persons.

In November, 22 anti-illegal drug operations led to the arrest of 25 suspects and the confiscation of 65.9 grams of suspected shabu, valued at PHP448,129. The police also intensified environmental protection efforts, resulting in the arrest of five individuals for illegal logging and the seizure of 1,580 board feet of illegal timber worth PHP19,680.

Furthermore, 61 operations against illegal fishing were conducted, leading to the arrest of 102 violators and the confiscation of 1,212.5 kilograms of assorted fish valued at PHP112,830. Additionally, seven operations targeting illegal gambling resulted in 22 arrests and the seizure of PHP6,745 worth of bets and gambling paraphernalia.

Police operatives also carried out nine operations against loose firearms, resulting in the voluntary surrender of nine firearms for safekeeping. Col. Dablo commended the police personnel for their dedication, stating that the accomplishments in November underscore the unwavering commitment and relentless work of the police force in Surigao del Norte's ongoing fight against criminality.
