Manila: President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s net satisfaction rating has improved to "neutral" in June, marking a recovery from a 'poor' rating in March, a Social Weather Stations survey (SWS) showed. The survey, conducted from June 20-29, 2026, found 42 percent of the 1,200 respondents are satisfied, 17 percent are neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, and 40 percent are dissatisfied with the general performance of the current administration.
According to Philippines News Agency, this translates to a net satisfaction rating of +1, or neutral, a 14-point recovery from poor, or -13, in March 2026, which was a record low for the Marcos Jr. administration, the SWS said in a news release. Of the 17 specific performance subjects rated in the SWS Governance Report Card, the administration's net satisfaction ratings were 'Very Good' on four subjects, 'Good' on five, 'Moderate' on three, 'Neutral' on three, and 'Poor' on two.
Net satisfaction rating is very good on providing the youth with basic education in public elementary and high schools, improving the quality of children's education, helping the poor, and creating policies which will generate job opportunities. Rating was good on developing science and technology, implementing housing programs for the poor, ensuring food security, defending Philippine sovereignty in the West Philippine Sea, and ensuring an efficient public transportation system.
Net satisfaction was moderate on ensuring that no family will ever be hungry and have nothing to eat, preparing for problems being caused by climate change, and taking care of Filipinos in Middle Eastern countries such as Israel, Iran, and other countries affected by war or armed conflict. Rating was neutral on generating solutions for the rising oil prices (net zero), ensuring that oil companies do not take advantage of oil prices, and fighting crimes that victimize ordinary citizens, like killings, holdups, robberies, physical violence, etc.
Respondents gave a poor rating on the government's program on fighting inflation and eradicating graft and corruption. "The satisfaction rating of the general performance of the National Administration is based on a single question and is not an average of answers to separate questions on specific subjects," the SWS said.
The net satisfaction rating was highest in Balance Luzon at moderate, +13, followed by the Visayas, neutral at +5; Metro Manila, poor at -11; and Mindanao, poor or -17. The SWS said sampling error margins are ±3 percent for national percentages and ±6 percent each for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
