Boracay: Three passengers were apprehended at the Boracay Airport for allegedly booking their flights with fraudulent credit cards and reportedly reselling travel funds on social media platforms.

According to Philippines News Agency, Cebu Pacific (CEB) spokesperson Carmina Romero stated that the individuals had traveled from Davao and were intercepted while preparing to return. The CEB, in its official statement, confirmed that an investigation is ongoing in coordination with the Philippine National Police.

The airline has issued a reminder for passengers to book flights exclusively through its official website, mobile app, or accredited travel partners. Cebu Pacific also advised against transactions with unauthorized sellers, warning that such actions may lead to invalid or incomplete bookings, additional charges, or disrupted travel plans.

Furthermore, the airline highlighted that those who engage with unauthorized channels and agents might face issues such as incorrect fares and an inability to receive complete bookings and tickets. This may also prevent them from checking in online, rebooking, obtaining refunds, or adding bags and meals.
