Cebu: A bettor from Cebu hit the Super Lotto 6/49 jackpot prize of PHP109 million drawn on Sunday night. The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Monday said the ticket bearing the winning combination of 40-34-32-26-21-12 was bought from an outlet in Cebu City.
According to Philippines News Agency, the winner, as specified in Republic Act 1169 or the law on PCSO lotteries, has one year from the date of the draw to claim the prize. All jackpot prizes must be claimed at the PCSO main office located on Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City. Under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, lotto winnings of more than PHP10,000 are subject to a 20 percent tax.
Meanwhile, 23 other individuals won PHP50,000 each for correctly guessing five of the six winning digits. Additionally, 1,096 bettors will receive PHP1,200 each for four correct digits, and 22,856 will be awarded PHP50 each for three correct digits. The Super Lotto 6/49 is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles encouraged the public to support the agency's gaming products, which help raise additional revenue for health initiatives, medical services, and other national charities. Through its mandatory contributions, the PCSO not only assists individuals in need of medical help but also provides funds to government institutions.
