Bacoor city: A lone bettor from Cavite bagged the PHP25.4 million jackpot in Sunday's SuperLotto 6/49 draw.
According to Philippines News Agency, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced on Monday that the winner from Bacoor City, Cavite, correctly guessed the winning combination of 47-20-36-43-07-06. The jackpot prize of PHP25,413,563.73 must be claimed at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City within one year, and it is subject to a 20-percent tax as per the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law.
The law stipulates that lotto winnings exceeding PHP10,000 are taxable at 20 percent. In addition to the jackpot winner, four other bettors won PHP325,000 each for guessing five out of the six winning digits. Another 346 bettors will receive PHP3,468.20 each for guessing four correct digits, while 8,653 individuals will get PHP50 each for three correct digits.
The SuperLotto 6/49 is held every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles urged the public to continue supporting the agency's gaming products, which help generate additional revenue for health initiatives, medical services, and other national charities. The PCSO's mandatory contributions aid not only those in need of medical assistance but also provide funds to government institutions.
