MANILA: Two lucky bettors from Lucena City, Quezon, and Naga City, Camarines Sur, are set to share a PHP25.3 million jackpot following Tuesday night's Lotto 6/42 draw. The win comes as a welcome surprise as both individuals correctly selected the winning numbers 27-26-09-41-19-20.
According to Philippines News Agency, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) confirmed in an advisory on Wednesday that the winners have one year to claim their share of the PHP25,351,115.00 prize. To do so, they must visit the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City with the winning ticket and two valid identification cards.
Under the current Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, the winnings will be subject to a 20 percent tax, as they exceed the PHP10,000 threshold.
The 6/42 Lotto, which holds draws every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, continues to be a popular gaming option. The PCSO encourages public participation in its games to help generate revenues that support various health initiatives, medical services, and national charities.
