Olongapo city: The Police Regional Office-Central Luzon (PRO-3) achieved a significant breakthrough in its intensified anti-drug campaign with the arrest of two high-value suspects and the seizure of PHP3.25 million worth of suspected shabu in Olongapo City over the weekend.
According to Philippines News Agency, in the early hours of Saturday, operatives from the City Police Drug Enforcement Unit, Criminal Investigation Unit, PRO-3 Regional Intelligence Division, and Police Station 1 conducted a buy-bust in Barangay West Bajac-bajac. This operation led to the arrest of a high-value drug suspect known as 'Bash.' Authorities recovered six plastic packs containing about 400 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of PHP2,720,000, along with marked and boodle money used during the transaction.
In a separate operation in Barangay Sta. Rita on Friday, joint police elements arrested another suspect, 'Kevin.' Officers seized 78 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP530,400, along with buy-bust money.
PRO-3 stated that charges are being prepared while the seized drugs and other evidence undergo documentation and forensic examination.
