Saguiaran: Anti-narcotics agents, with police support, arrested two high-value drug suspects and seized PHP3.4 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Saguiaran, Lanao del Sur, on Tuesday afternoon. Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM) Director Gil Cesario P. Castro identified the suspects as Papad and Adina, both listed as high-value targets in the province.
According to Philippines News Agency, the suspects were arrested after handing over shabu to an undercover agent in Barangay Poblacion. They are now detained at the PDEA-BARMM jail facility and face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Recovered from the suspects were 500 grams of shabu, identification cards, mobile phones, and a motorcycle. 'They have been under surveillance for two weeks before the buy-bust,' Castro said, noting that the suspects had been peddling illegal drugs in Lanao del Sur, Lanao del Norte, and parts of Maguindanao del Norte.
