According to Philippines News Agency, second seed Tiffany Claire Nocos, third seed Elizabeth Abarquez, and fourth seed Joanna Victoria Pe±a also progressed to the next round. Nocos secured her spot with a comeback victory over Rovie Baulate, 2-6, 7-6 (3), 4-1 (ret.). Meanwhile, Abarquez breezed past Erdilyn Peralta with a 6-0, 6-0 win, and Pe±a triumphed over Ayl Xyza Gonzaga, 6-1, 6-3.
In an impressive showing, unseeded Paula Ysabelle Uy managed to defeat No. 5 seed Ni±a Angeline Alcala with a hard-fought 6-0, 5-7, 7-6 (5) victory, joining fellow Philippine Tennis Academy players Tennielle Madis and Stefi Marithe Aludo in the quarterfinals. Madis, fresh off her victory at the Philippine Columbian Association Open on Oct. 5, dominated Dhea Angelica Cua with a 6-0, 6-0 scoreline, while Aludo outplayed Althea Fay Ong, 6-2, 6-1.
The Gentry Open, in partnership with Palawan Pawnshop National Tennis Championships, will distribute a total of PHP2 million in cash prizes. The men's singles champion will receive PHP300,000, with the runner-up taking home PHP150,000. The women's singles champion will be awarded PHP100,000, and the runner-up will collect PHP50,000.
