Vienna Triumphs Over Skyliners to Claim FIBA 3×3 World Tour Debrecen Title

Manila: Vienna emerged victorious with a 22-20 win over Skyliners (Germany) on Sunday night, claiming the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Debrecen title in Hungary.

According to Philippines News Agency, Quincy Diggs played a pivotal role in Vienna's success, earning the MVP honors by scoring eight points. In the semifinals, Vienna defeated Amsterdam RABOBANK with a score of 21-16 to secure their spot in the final.

The Skyliners reached their first World Tour final of the season by overcoming Valencia (Spain) with a narrow 21-20 victory in overtime. Niklas Kropp and Stefan Kojic led the Skyliners to an early 9-5 advantage, but Vienna rallied to take a 10-9 lead midway through the game.

The match remained competitive as both teams exchanged baskets. Kojic tied the score at 20-all with a free throw, but Enis Murati's decisive basket ultimately secured the win for Vienna.

In addition to the main event, Nico Kaltenbrunner claimed victory in the Wilson Shoot-Out Contest, while Jeremiah Walker excelled in the Dunk Contest. The final standings saw Vienna at the top, followed by Skyliners, Valencia, and Amsterdam RABOBANK. Other participating teams included Lausanne (Switzerland), Liman (Serbia), Marbella (Spain), and several others.

The FIBA 3x3 World Tour will continue its journey with the next stop scheduled in Shanghai, China, from September 27 to 28.
