Sara visits C-130 mishap survivors in Zambo

Mayor Sara Duterte visited on Thursday morning the survivors of the C-130 plane crash in Patikul, Sulu on July 4, who were admitted at Camp Navarro General Hospital in Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur.

In a report from the Interactive Pilipinas Media, the Davao City mayor sat at the patient’s bed and talked to the soldier survivors.

The report further said the survivors narrated to the presidential daughter their experience of the crash.

After the incident, the city government here has sent six doctors to Zamboanga City to assist doctors in treating the victims.

“We sent six doctors to Zamboanga City to assist the doctors there or anything they can help for the survivors and those who are injured,” Mayor Sara said in a previous radio interview. She said the doctors volunteered on behalf of the entire Davao City to help in the situation.

“These are Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) doctors who were tasked and willingly said they will help in Zamboanga City,” the mayor said.

She said the group brought with them medical supplies which are essential to treat the injured victims.

The group is composed of a neurosurgeon, orthopedic surgeon, general surgeon, anesthesiologist, and two emergency medicine doctors.

“We have constant coordination with Zamboanga City LGU because Zamboanga is our sister city and we have a very close relationship with them. We have constant communication with the LGU asking them what they need to support the retrieval, recovery, and treatment of the injured as well as the management of the dead,” she said.

Mayor Sara was in Zamboanga City for the signing of the Sister City Agreement of Zamboanga City and Davao City.
