Panabo city: Two alleged high-value drug suspects were arrested in Panabo City, Davao del Norte on Friday after yielding an estimated PHP27.6 million worth of suspected shabu, police reported.
According to Philippines News Agency, Police Regional Office-Davao Region Director Brig. Gen. Leon Victor Rosete stated that the suspects, identified only by their aliases, "Gang" and "Cesar," were apprehended in a joint buy-bust operation in Barangay San Francisco.
Authorities seized several sachets and knot-tied plastic packs containing about 4,060 grams of suspected shabu from the suspects, valued at PHP27,608,000.
In addition to the drugs, authorities recovered a genuine PHP1,000 bill used as marked money, PHP100,000 in boodle money, and two bags from the suspects.
The suspects are currently detained at the Panabo City Police Station, where cases for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act will be filed against them.
