Naga city: A total of 226 jobseekers have registered for the Trabaho at Serbisyo Hatid sa Bayan 2026 organized by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) - Bicol, with more than 200 vacant government positions available from participating agencies. CSC-Bicol Director Rosallini Moneda emphasized that the event provides jobseekers with a one-stop venue to check vacancies, inquire about application requirements, and submit their personal data sheets for evaluation by participating agencies.
According to Philippines News Agency, Moneda stated that the simultaneous job fair allows applicants to explore opportunities from several agencies in one venue, eliminating the need to travel from one office to another. The event also includes an orientation session by the CSC, offering jobseekers valuable tips for their employment search, which they can apply beyond the job fair itself.
For Suzette Asusano, 30, from Donsol, Sorsogon, the event offers a chance to find work after several months of job hunting. "It is good for me because I have been unemployed for two months and have been looking for work for several months," Asusano shared.
Fresh graduate Pretcy Mier, 23, from Villahermosa, Daraga, Albay, also attended the job fair with aspirations of securing a government position. "This opportunity is important because it brings employment opportunities closer to people," Mier expressed, highlighting her desire to contribute to the community through public service.
Another jobseeker, Anthony Magdaong, 23, from Daraga, Albay, noted the usefulness of the event, particularly for fresh graduates and unemployed individuals seeking government jobs. "It is very helpful, especially for fresh graduates and those who are currently unemployed and looking for work," Magdaong remarked, underscoring the challenges of finding employment in both the public and private sectors.
The participating agencies in the job fair include the Bicol Medical Center, Bicol Regional Hospital and Medical Center, Bicol University, and the regional offices of various government departments such as the Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Civil Service Commission, Commission on Elections, and several others.
This activity is part of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary celebration. The CSC described Trabaho at Serbisyo Hatid sa Bayan as an integrated platform aimed at bringing government employment opportunities and front-line services closer to Filipinos.
