232 Projects Approved Under Green Lane Initiative in 2025

Manila: A total of 232 strategic projects were approved in 2025 under the Green Lane Initiative, facilitating high-impact strategic investments with approximately 49 percent faster processing time for permits and licenses.

According to Philippines News Agency, data released by the Board of Investments (BOI) on Thursday indicated that the projects endorsed under the initiative by the end of December 2025 boast a combined investment value of about PHP6.11 trillion (approximately USD107.69 billion). These projects are anticipated to generate roughly 398,567 jobs nationwide.

The report highlighted that 16 projects are already operational, 163 are in the pre-development stage, 47 are in the construction phase, and six are in the pre-operation stage. A significant portion, 179 of these endorsed projects, are focused on renewable energy (RE), with investments totaling around PHP5.21 trillion and expected to create approximately 249,801 job opportunities.

BOI Director Ernesto Delos Reyes Jr. emphasized that the Green Lane Initiative 'reinforces our commitment to a whole-of-government approach in investment facilitation.' He noted that by improving coordination among national government agencies and local government units, the initiative helps investors transition more efficiently from planning to implementation, ensuring that projects aligned with national priorities are realized and translated into jobs and inclusive growth.

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ma. Cristina Roque remarked that the initiative 'reflects President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s administration's strong commitment to creating an environment conducive to investments.' She stated that it is a critical step in enhancing the Philippines' position as an investment hub in Asia, which will ultimately benefit the people by generating jobs and fostering sustainable economic growth.
