Caraga: The Police Regional Office (PRO) 13, responsible for the Caraga region, has enhanced its operational capabilities by distributing 28 motorcycles to various stations and units across the area.
According to Philippines News Agency, the brand-new motorcycles, equipped with 150 cc engines, are anticipated to significantly improve the quick response capabilities and operational mobility of police units throughout the region. The enhancement is particularly aimed at increasing efficiency during emergencies.
The turnover ceremony, held on Wednesday, saw the participation of PRO-13 chief, Brig. Gen. Marcial Mariano Magistrado IV, alongside heads of the command group and unit commanders. Magistrado emphasized the significance of the new mobility assets, stating, "These additional mobility assets significantly enhance our operational readiness and reinforce our commitment to serve and protect our communities more effectively and efficiently."
Magistrado highlighted the importance of mobility in law enforcement, underscoring its role in crime prevention, rapid deployment, and ensuring public safety in both urban and remote communities. The funding for the motorcycle units was sourced from the Philippine National Police's Capability Enhancement Program for Fiscal Year 2025.
