Cagayan de oro: Thirty officials of the Department of Public Works and Highways-Northern Mindanao (DPWH-10) tendered their unqualified resignations, while clarifying there are no ghost projects under their jurisdiction.
According to Philippines News Agency, DPWH-10 information officer Roshelle Novie Cabrido stated that the courtesy resignations include positions such as Regional Director, Assistant Regional Director, District Engineers, and Assistant District Engineers. Cabrido explained that "unqualified resignation means not until the Secretary acts on it, they will continue to report to the office and continue with their usual work."
Cabrido also addressed incorrect social media posts concerning flood-control infrastructures in the area, asserting that all projects were completed, including those in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. She highlighted ongoing corrective works in Sitio Lagaan, Barangay Apo Macote, Malaybalay City. Additionally, two projects in Purok 4 and Purok 8, Barangay Linabo, were completed on March 5, 2024, totaling PHP96.4 million.
DPWH-10 personnel have been dispatched to inspect some flood-control infrastructures reported as damaged, ensuring the projects' integrity and addressing public concerns.
