Tarlac: More than 9,000 housing units are expected to be generated under the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program in Tarlac, the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) said Monday.
According to Philippines News Agency, the initiative is part of the expanded 4PH Program, which aims to provide low-income Filipino workers with housing by lowering financing costs. Rhea Reyes, one of the new homeowners, expressed pride and relief after securing a permanent home for her family. She emphasized the freedom and happiness of owning a home, stating, "When you own the house, you can do whatever you want; you don't have to constantly adjust to others because it is your own. Of course, it makes me proud and happy that at this age, I already have my own home... it's very affordable."
Rachel Orasan, a pharmacy assistant who also qualified for the program, shared that owning a home fulfilled a long-held dream for her family. She expressed her joy, saying, "It's a dream come true. I am so glad that there is something that fits my budget." Orasan highlighted that having her own home allows her to rest properly whenever she needs to. Both Reyes and Orasan thanked President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for the opportunity to own a home.
Officials of Apec Homes, the developer of Brentwood Residences, stated that the socialized housing project has the capacity to generate up to 9,000 units. The development qualifies for a 3 percent subsidized interest rate under the Expanded 4PH Program, significantly reducing monthly amortization costs for low-income and minimum-wage earners in the province.
