MELAKA, Actors Remy Ishak and Ashraf Muslim are among the recipients of Melaka state honours in conjunction with the 75th birthday celebration of Melaka Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Mohd Ali Rustam today. Remy, whose real name is Datuk Mohamad Zalimei Ishak, received the Darjah Pangkuan Seri Melaka (D.P.S.M) award which carries the title 'Datuk', while Mohd Ashraf Muslim was awarded the Bintang Khidmat Terpuji (B.K.T) medal. Remy, when met by reporters, expressed his surprise at being chosen for the award, which he described as a significant milestone in his approximately 20-year career in the industry. 'I never really dreamed of receiving such a title… I wasn't seeking it, but I've been given this honour. 'It provides a boost for me to achieve more in the future and encourages young people in this state to pursue their dreams,' he said. Meanwhile, Ashraf stated that receiving the B.K.T is a great reward for him since he began his acting career about 20 years ago.
