Manila: Tropical Depression (TD) Ada, internationally known as Nokaen, continues to maintain its strength but is predicted to weaken into a low-pressure area (LPA) by Wednesday or Thursday, as reported in the weather bureau's 5 a.m. bulletin.

According to Philippines News Agency, the TD currently possesses maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center, with gustiness reaching up to 70 kph. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) communicated that dry air entrainment from the northeast monsoon surge will lead to Ada's downgrade into an LPA.

As of 4 a.m., Ada was situated 1,215 km east of Northern Luzon and is progressing east southeast at a speed of 20 kph. Despite its presence, no tropical cyclone wind signal has been raised over any part of the country.

PAGASA further stated that the northeast monsoon, also known as "amihan," is expected to produce strong to gale-force gusts across vast regions, including most of Luzon, Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Lanao del Norte, Basilan, and Tawi-Tawi. A gale warning remains effective for the eastern seaboards of Luzon, as well as the northern and western seaboards of Northern Luzon.
