Mandaluyong city: Some 40 exhibitors are taking part in the 31st Association of Firearms and Ammunition Dealers of the Philippines (AFAD) Defense and Sporting Arms Show (DSAS), which opened Tuesday at SM Megamall Trade Hall in Mandaluyong City. The country's longest-running and most recognized firearms showcase is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. until Nov. 21.
According to Philippines News Agency, the event features the latest firearms innovations, upgraded models, advanced accessories, and new locally manufactured products. "DSAS isn't only a venue to showcase the latest hardware, it's equally a platform for learning. Our goal is to help attendees build awareness, strengthen their skills, and better understand the responsibilities of gun ownership. The commitment to education is what sets this show apart," AFAD spokesperson Aric Topacio said.
"DSAS is about community. It's where curious first-timers, hobbyists, sport shooters, industry players, and public servants from relevant government agencies come together to exchange ideas and strengthen a shared culture rooted in safety, respect, and accountability," Topacio added.
AFAD will bring the DSAS to Davao and Cagayan de Oro next year.
