Manila: Low-cost carrier AirAsia Philippines has announced that it remains fully operational, despite recent reports suggesting a halt in operations due to unpaid fees. The airline emphasized that all flights and services are continuing as scheduled across its network, subject to standard operational considerations such as weather conditions.

According to Philippines News Agency, the statement came in response to claims that the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) had ordered AirAsia to cease operations at government-managed airports over approximately PHP270 million in unpaid fees. These fees reportedly include air navigation, landing, parking, and passenger service charges that have accumulated from 2021 through May 2026.

While AirAsia acknowledges the reports, CAAP has not released an official statement regarding the situation. The carrier reassures passengers that it is addressing the matter and that its operations remain unaffected at this time.
