All-Japan Clash in Boys’ Singles Final at ITF J30 Manila

Manila: Japanese players will clash for the boys' singles title at the first leg of the ITF J30 Manila after Aoi Ishizaki stunned sixth-seeded compatriot Kuranosuke Suzuki, 6-2, 7-6 (3), at Rizal Memorial Tennis Center in Manila on Saturday. Ishizaki will face fellow Japanese qualifier Shun Munetoh, who earlier pulled off a shock 7-6 (7), 6-1 victory over second seed Ruochen Gao of China.

According to Philippines News Agency, in the girls' singles, top seed Yi-Ching Huang of Chinese Taipei advanced to the final with a 2-6, 6-3, 6-1 win over sixth seed Paweenon Nualsri of Thailand. Huang will meet South Korea's second-ranked Park Seojin, who dominated third seed Pimphat Lim of Thailand, 6-2, 6-1.

The boys' and girls' final matches are scheduled Sunday, starting at 8:30 a.m. Meanwhile, third seeds Paweenon and Hong Kong's Ying Chi Chloe Wong downed fourth seeds Wang Jiayi and Xu Yishan of China, 6-2, 6-3, to claim the girls' doubles crown. In the boys' doubles final, fourth seeds Ishizaki and Kango Endoh triumphed over Munetoh and Rentaro Otaka, 6-4, 6-3.
