All Transmission Lines in Crising-Affected Areas Still Normal: NGCP

Manila: The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) announced that all transmission lines and facilities remain under normal operations as of 5 p.m., despite the impacts of Tropical Storm Crising.

According to Philippines News Agency, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported in its 11 a.m. bulletin that Crising has intensified while moving west northwest toward mainland Cagayan-Babuyan Islands. A heavy rainfall outlook is in place due to the storm and the southwest monsoon.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 has been issued for areas including Batanes, Cagayan with Babuyan Islands, Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga, and parts of Abra. Additional areas covered by this signal include sections of Mountain Province, Ifugao, Ilocos Norte, and the northern portion of Ilocos Sur.

Meanwhile, Signal No. 1 is in effect for provinces such as Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, and parts of Mountain Province, Ifugao, Abra, and Benguet. It also covers the rest of Ilocos Sur, La Union, the northern portion of Pangasinan, sections of Aurora, and parts of Nueva Ecija.
