Para±aque city: The Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority (APECO) is currently negotiating with International Workplace Group (IWG), a global leader in workspace solutions, about a potential collaboration aimed at enhancing the Casiguran-based ecozone.
According to Philippines News Agency, APECO views this partnership as a strategic move to attract international investors and business locators to the zone. By allowing IWG to manage and operate key facilities within the zone, APECO hopes to leverage IWG's influence to draw in new investments.
APECO President and Chief Executive Officer Gil Taway IV emphasized that the interest from a globally recognized entity like IWG signifies increased investor confidence in APECO. Taway attributed this to ongoing reforms and strategic business development and marketing efforts, branding APECO as the next premiere investment destination in the country.
The potential collaboration includes IWG's management of the ecozone's Super Health Center, which will provide primary healthcare services such as general check-ups, diagnostics, and laboratory testing. Discussions about the partnership took place on June 19 at APECO's Para±aque office, with Taway and IWG Partnership Growth Director Michael Co in attendance, alongside other APECO officials.
IWG's global CEO is planning a visit to the Philippines in early July, where further discussions and engagements with APECO are anticipated. Co expressed enthusiasm about the potential partnership, highlighting the professionalism and responsiveness of the APECO team as key factors for a successful collaboration.
