Aurora: Several sections of major roads in Aurora province remain impassable to all types of vehicles as of Monday morning due to flooding and landslides caused by continuous rainfall. The province was still under Signal No. 1 on Sunday night, before Tropical Storm Ramil left the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
According to Philippines News Agency, portions of the Baler-Casiguran Road are not passable, as reported by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) - Aurora District Engineering Office (DEO). Affected areas include Barangay Dianed in Dipaculao, which is blocked by both flooding and landslides; Baler-Casiguran Road in Barangay Ditawini, Dinalungan; and Maddela-Dinadiawan Road in Barangay Calaocan, Dipaculao, also due to landslides.
In a report, engineer Fredelito Mingua stated that clearing operations are ongoing. The DPWH-Aurora DEO assured the public that its personnel are on full alert with standby heavy equipment, including three backhoes, three payloaders, and three dump trucks.
