Makati City: One of the country's largest conglomerates, Ayala Corp., remains optimistic about the years ahead despite the economic uncertainties globally. In a media briefing held in Makati City, Ayala Corp. president and chief executive officer Cezar Consing expressed confidence in the company's future performance. Consing highlighted the company's record-high core earnings of PHP45 billion in 2024 as a foundation for continued growth.
According to Philippines News Agency, Consing shared his outlook following Ayala Corp.'s 'strongest year ever,' describing the coming period as a 'next stronger year' for the company. He noted that the company achieved significant results even without all of its business segments performing at full capacity. Consing emphasized the company's goal to bring its emerging businesses-AC Mobility, AC Logistics, and AC Health-to profitability within the next two years.
Consing further explained that 2025 could serve as a pivotal year for Ayala's smaller business units. Each unit has undergone major rationalization initiatives, and the company anticipates seeing the benefits of these efforts in the coming year.
In a separate statement, AC Health announced its ambition to become a USD2-billion healthcare enterprise by 2035. AC Health president and CEO Paolo Borromeo outlined the group's long-term vision, which includes expanding its network to encompass 1,150 retail pharmacies, 300 clinics, and 10 hospitals within the next three years.
