Bicol: The Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5) reported that 12 wanted individuals were apprehended during a series of manhunt operations conducted on Monday.
According to Philippines News Agency, PRO-5 Director Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon stated that among those arrested was a 47-year-old resident of Irosin, Sorsogon, known as 'Juan', who was listed as Bicol's No. 9 Regional Most Wanted Person. He was arrested in Sual, Pangasinan by personnel from the Irosin Municipal Police Station (MPS) in coordination with the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) of the Sorsogon Police Provincial Office, under a warrant for rape.
Another significant arrest involved a man known by the alias "Roger," the most wanted individual in Masbate province. He was apprehended at his residence in Cawayan town, Masbate. Roger is identified as a high-ranking member of the communist New People's Army and served as the commanding officer of Platoon 2, Kilusang Larangan Guerilla South, Sub-Regional Committee 4, Bicol Regional Party Committee. He is wanted for two counts of murder and operated in the 3rd District of Masbate.
Dizon further reported that the PRO-5 also arrested two additional fugitives in Masbate, four in Albay, one in Camarines Norte, one in Naga City, and two in Sorsogon. He emphasized that these operations demonstrate PRO-5's strategic coordination, intelligence-driven policing, and persistent efforts to enforce the law and uphold justice. Dizon remarked that the recent accomplishments underscore PRO-5's dedication to its duty.
