Manila: The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) has extended support to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Antique, helping them to broaden their market reach and enhance the quality control and packaging of their products.

According to Philippines News Agency, PCCI Antique Chapter president Rani Rodriguez highlighted that the recent Western Visayas Business Conference on Wheels, held in mid-July, enabled several MSMEs to access larger markets in Iloilo and Aklan. This initiative, in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry, aimed to assist MSMEs in identifying potential markets, marking the second provincial roadshow since its inception last year.

Rodriguez emphasized that beyond introducing MSMEs to potential buyers, PCCI plays a crucial role in aiding the development of their products, focusing on aspects such as packaging and quality control. The organization also facilitates connections between MSMEs and government agencies that offer support in product development. Effective packaging not only enhances product presentation but also extends shelf life.

Rodriguez encouraged MSMEs to become members of PCCI to benefit from its mentoring programs and other initiatives designed to foster business growth.
