Pasig city: The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Thursday announced that 28 luxury vehicles linked to the Discaya family are now under its custody. In a statement, the bureau revealed that the family had surrendered 16 high-end cars. On Wednesday, the BOC secured an additional 12 vehicles through a court-ordered search at the St. Gerrard Construction General Contractor and Development Corp. compound, which is owned by the Discayas in Pasig City.
According to Philippines News Agency, the 16 vehicles are currently undergoing processing by the BOC for sealing and documentation. Customs personnel are guarding the vehicles while pending verification of importation records and assessment of duties and taxes. The luxury vehicles include models such as Mercedez Benz GLE, Land Rover Range Rover LWB, Cadillac Escalade ESV, and BMW X5 30D, among others.

Marcos Jr.'s directive to combat smuggling, protect government revenues, and ensure accountability through lawful customs processes.

Commissioner Nepomuceno noted that the investigation and conclusions would be based on these documents. He confirmed that the bureau has begun matching the submitted documents and aims to complete the process by next week.
