Manila: The Bureau of Customs (BOC) will hold a public auction of forfeited luxury vehicles linked to the Discayas on Thursday. The auction will begin at 10 a.m. at the BOC Situation Room, Ground Floor, Office of the Commissioner (OCOM) Building, Port Area, Manila. Proceeds from the sale will be directed to the National Treasury.
According to Philippines News Agency, funds raised from the auction will be remitted to the National Treasury to ensure public assets are restored and redirected to support national development. This initiative highlights the BOC's commitment to enforcing regulations, promoting transparency, and safeguarding the country's economic interests.
The auction will be broadcast live on the BOC's official Facebook page, allowing for broader public engagement. At least five bidders have shown interest in participating in the event.
Vehicles available for auction include a 2022 Toyota Tundra, 2023 Toyota Sequoia, 2023 Rolls-Royce Cullinan, 2022 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, 2019 Mercedes-Benz G500 Brabus, 2021 Lincoln Navigator L, and 2022 Bentley Bentayga. The floor price for the auction is set at PHP17,311,121.93, with a required bond of PHP865,556.
