Digos: The bounty for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the killing of Digos City Barangay Captain Oscar "Dodong" Bucol Jr. has increased to PHP5.5 million, officials announced on Thursday. The victim was shot multiple times during a Facebook Live broadcast from his residence on Tuesday evening and was declared dead on arrival at a local hospital.

According to Philippines News Agency, family lawyer Israelito Torreon disclosed in a Facebook post that Mayor Sebastian Duterte contributed PHP1 million to the reward. Torreon stated, "This is a way to help bring justice to the family."

The total bounty includes contributions from various sources, including the provincial government, Vice President Sara Duterte, a Monkayo business group, and the victim's family. Police Regional Director Brig. Gen. Leon Victor Rosete has confirmed that a Special Investigation Task Group is actively exploring all potential leads to resolve the case.
