Manila: The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has announced that it has processed close to 3 million voter registration applications for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) this year.
According to Philippines News Agency, as of March 7, a total of 2,875,807 voter registration applications have been processed nationwide. The breakdown of these applications reveals that 1,499,398 applicants are female, while 1,376,409 are male.
The CALABARZON region reported the highest number of applications, totaling 501,212. This was followed by Central Luzon with 333,038 applications, and the National Capital Region with 298,906 applications.
Regions with fewer than 100,000 applications include MIMAROPA with 91,653 applications, CARAGA with 85,238, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao with 51,030, and the Cordillera Administrative Region with 38,891.
The voter registration process resumed on October 20, 2025, and is scheduled to continue until May 18, 2026. The Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections are set to take place on November 2, 2026.
