Manila: Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman on Saturday emphasized the crucial role of Filipino women in driving progress under the vision of a 'Bagong Pilipinas' (New Philippines).
According to Philippines News Agency, Pangandaman highlighted the importance of true equality and the empowerment of women in her message delivered on International Women's Day and National Women's Month. She paid tribute to the strength and resilience of Filipina women, celebrating their roles as mothers, daughters, and trailblazers who continue to break barriers.
Pangandaman stressed the necessity of placing Filipinas at the forefront of efforts to build an inclusive and progressive nation, ensuring that no one is left behind. She noted that women serve as pillars of strength, love, and hope in various aspects of society.

The theme for this year's National Women's Month, 'Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas,' reflects optimism and hope, symbolizing a future where women's lives are uplifted.
