Bulacan: Governor Daniel Fernando outlined ambitious flagship programs for Bulacan province after taking his oath for a third and final term on Sunday night. Addressing a crowd that included 86 newly elected officials, 139 reelectionists, and 41 returning public servants, the governor detailed his administration's key initiatives.
According to Philippines News Agency, the key initiatives include ongoing housing projects for Bulakenyos through the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development and Global Homes Consortium. The visionary Bulacan Mega City Project and the establishment of a waste-to-energy facility were also highlighted. Additionally, the Bulacan Technohub and Innovation Center is currently under construction, alongside the modernization of the Bulacan Medical Center and other district hospitals.
Vital river restoration and dredging projects are part of the plan, along with the development of the Bulacan Farmer's Productivity Center and Bulacan Animal Breeding Center and Multiplier Farm in Do±a Remedios Trinidad town. Governor Fernando emphasized the need for collective effort, stating, 'Marami na tayong nasimulan ngunit marami pa tayong kailangang gawin. Hindi ko po ito makakayang mag-isa. Magtulungan po tayo (We have started a lot but we still have a lot more to do. I cannot do this alone. Let us help each other).'
Vice Governor Alexis Castro also took his oath for a second term, along with seven Congress representatives, 14 board members, 24 mayors, 24 vice mayors, and all councilors, marking a significant moment for the province's leadership.
